Cathy's father was a skilled trade contractor whose business struggled not for lack of talent, but because he was never taught the financial side of running one. She knows firsthand the stress that puts on the whole family — and the economic opportunity that becomes possible when contractors are set up to succeed. That story, she discovered, belongs to thousands of contractor families across New York City.
NYC has invested decades into making opportunities available for small contractors — set-asides, certification programs, lending pathways, free technical assistance. And still, most remain locked out of the opportunities those programs were designed to create. Without a financial operating system, contractors can't meet the basic requirements that capital providers and government agencies need to even evaluate them.
That's the gap The M2M Project was built to close. M2M works directly inside small contracting businesses to build the financial operating systems that put contractors in command of their numbers and positions them to pursue the opportunities that are meant for them. When that happens at scale, New York City's construction industry becomes a real pathway to economic opportunity for the families and communities that keep it running.
